JAMMU, Aug 18: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch Vikram Randhawa, today inspected the Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar and announced release of Rs 10 lakh from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for the infrastructure development of the hospital.
While paying a surprise visit to the hospital, Randhawa inspected all the wards and departments. While inspecting various wards in the hospital, Randhawa interacted with the attendants and patients and enquired about the facilities and treatment being given to them. The response from the attendants was satisfactory as none of them complained anything.
He directed the doctors of the hospital to serve public with politeness and honesty as doctors are considered to be next to God on earth. He said that under the able guidance and sincere efforts of the incumbent Health Minister desirable infrastructure has been raised in all the hospitals of the State.
While interacting with the staff and administration of the hospital, Randhawa said that being local MLC it is his dream to make this hospital as ‘Model Hospital’ of Jammu and Kashmir. Taking initiative in this regard, Randhawa immediately announced Rs Rs 10 lakh from his CDF for infrastructure development of the hospital and assured more funds in the coming future.
He said that the Bhartiya Janta Party and the State Government is committed to provide better healthcare to its citizens and assured the hospital administration every possible support to ensure that this hospital becomes a ‘Model Hospital’.
