NEW DELHI: Amid continuing stand-off at Doklam near Sikkim, Army chief Gen Bipin Rawat will visit Ladakh to take stock of the security situation.
Gen Rawat is leaving for Ladakh on a three-day visit tomorrow.
The Army Chief’s visit to Ladakh assumes significance in the wake of Indian and Chinese troops getting involved in a minor scuffle at Pangong Tso lake near Leh earlier this week.
During his visit to Ladakh, the Army chief would review the status with the local commanders of the Army and Air Force and also take stock of military preparations in the Eastern Ladakh region, Army sources said. (AGENCIES)
