JAMMU, Aug 19: Jhajjar Kotli and Banihal police rescued 21 bovine animals and arrested two persons.
As per police sources, during checking at Suketar-Domail road, a team from Jhajjar Kotli police station intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AE-5455.
During checking, police rescued 9 bovine animals from the truck and arrested two persons including driver.
The arrested person has been identified as Mohammad Mansha (driver), son of Mohammad Ayoob and Mohammad Arif, son of Mohammad Ibrahim, both residents of Qazigund.
A case under FIR Number 72/17 under Section 188RPC and 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at police station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli police station Inspector Vikram Singh Manhas made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Yashbir Singh Slathia and SP Rural Aun Gupta.
