SRINAGAR: As many as 18 structures, including six residential houses and 12 shops, were gutted in a fire in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.
Official sources said that the fire broke out in a residential house in densely populated Murran chowk in Pulwama.
They said fire tenders from different parts of Pulwama and adjoining districts, including Srinagar, were rushed to douse off the leaping flames, clearly visible from a distance.
However, before the blaze could be brought under control, it spread to nearby structures, completely damaging six residential houses and 12 shops.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known, they said, adding that no one was injured in the incident. (AGENCIES)
