UDHAMPUR, Aug 22: In two separate cases, young housewives attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances at village Patyari Ramnagar and Sila Jattain, Udhampur..
According to the police reports, Dipo Devi (39), wife of Surjeet of Patyari Ramnagar, consumed some poisonous substance at the house of her in-laws. Family members took her to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred her to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of her serious condition.
Police has registered the case and started investigation to ascertain the cause of provocation.
Meanwhile, another young house wife, identified as Anju Devi (25), wife of Jia Lal of Sial Jattain, Udhampur, consumed some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances. She was immediately shifted to District Hospital Udhampur and her condition was stated to be stable.
