Govt laying network of roads, bridges: Nanda

POUNI (REASI), Aug 22: Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Ajay Nanda inaugurated a bridge worth Rs 80 lakh over Gajore Nallah here today.
The bridge was a long pending demand of the locals of Pouni and adjoining areas who otherwise had to cover long distance on foot to get access to main road or tehsil headquarters.
The Minister reiterated the resolve of the Government for constructing several bridges for connecting far flung habitations of the State. He said the Government has initiated various micro and mega bridge projects on the roads sanctioned under R&B and PMGSY.
Interacting with locals, Ajay Nanda said the Government is fully committed to fulfill all the promises, adding that development coming up on the ground level testifies the seriousness of the Government towards the problems and development of common man. He also passed instructions to the executing agency to intensify work on other bridges and roads  so that they are completed at an earliest and people of remote villages get relief through smooth road connectivity.
Later, the Minister also dedicated power sub-station to the people of Gajore Saal Mohalla with the capacity of  25KVA from his Constituency Development Fund. A total of 6.80 lakh was spent on its completion.
District Development Commissioner  Ravinder Kumar, ACD, M.Y. Malik and several officers of district administration were present on the occasion.
