Guar gum futures extend gains on upbeat trends

NEW DELHI, Aug 23:  Guar gum prices remained higher for the third straight day today by adding another Rs 95 to Rs 8,532 per quintal in futures trade today as participants indulged in creating long positions, tracking upbeat sentiments at domestic and overseas markets,.
Marketmen said building up of long positions by participants on the back of rising demand in domestic and overseas markets largely kept guar gum prices rising.
In futures trading at the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, guar gum contracts for most-active September rose by Rs 95 or 1.13 per cent to Rs 8,532 per quintal, with an open interest of 44,800 lots.
Likewise, the delivery for November contract gained Rs 74 or 0.86 per cent to Rs 8,646 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 4,810 lots. (PTI)
