JAMMU, Aug 23: A deputation of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee headed by its president Roshan Lal Raina called on Chief Engineer, PHE and apprised him of the water scarcity being faced by the residents of Durga Nagar area.
As per a release, Raina apprised the Chief Engineer that last year water supply was provided alternately and this year it is supplied once in a week putting students to lot of trouble.
The deputation told Chief Engineer that if alternate water supply is not restored the people will come on streets.
The Chief Engineer assured the delegation that the matter will be resolved within days and in this connection a meeting of the officers will be held soon.
Later the delegation also met the Executive Engineer City Division who also assured them that the water scarcity problem will be solved soon.
