Accused wanted in attempt to murder case apprehended

JAMMU, Aug 24: An accused, wanted in attempt to murder case has been apprehended by Gandhi Nagar police.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gandhi Nagar police station conducted raid and apprehended an absconder, who was evading his arrest since 2013.
The arrested person has been identified as Gandeep Singh alias Babban, son of Amarjeet Singh, a resident of Nanak Nagar.
He was wanted in two cases registered under FIR Number 11/2009 under Section 448, 323 and 34 RPC with police station Gandhi Nagar and FIR Number 106/2009 under Section 307, 326, 341 and 34 RPC with police station Satwari.
Further investigation into the cases is going on.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar DySP (P) Dr Sunniya Ashkoor Wani made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
