CEC inaugurates Lift Water Supply Scheme

Kargil, Nov 2 : To cope up with the scarcity of clean drinking water, the Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC Kargil Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan inaugurated the Lift Water Supply Scheme at (Kabbadi Nalla) Changchik, which was taken into hand by the PHE Department on trial basis.
Now after the successful trial of the scheme, new avenues have been opened for such making such projects to quench the thirst of people of Kargil.
Impressed upon the achievement, Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan appreciated the effort of the concerned department and termed it a great success for providing clean drinking water to the Kargil town and adjoining places. He directed the concerned officer to send water sample to laboratories for testing the water so that people may be benefited by this scheme as soon as possible.
The scheme includes water point at MES and 850 meter long pipeline upto collection chamber near Dakbaglow, which is completed at a cost of Rs 16 lakh and it lifts 35 thousand liter of water in one hour.
On this occasion, the CEC was accompanied by SE PWD kargil Abdul Wahid, Executive Engineer PHE Bodh Raj and other concerned officer.
