KATHUA, Aug 26: The Lakhanpur police has rescued four bovine animals from a vehicle and arrested one smuggler.
According to reports, a police team of Police Station Lakhanpur laid a naka near Railway bridge Lakhanpur today. During the naka the Police team intercepted one Mahindra Pickup bearing Registration No. JK21D-1338 which was plying towards Jammu. After the physical search of vehicle, Police recovered four bovines. Police seized the vehicle, rescued all the bovines and arrested the driver of the vehicle namely Zakir Hussain S/o Muried Baksh R/o Samba. Lakhanpur police also registered a case U/S 188 RPC and started the further course of the investigation.
The naka was laid by Lakhanpur Police headed by Inspector Kulbir Singh Choudhary SHO P/S Lakhanpur, under DySP DAR Dr. Parul Bhardwaj and overall supervision of Mohd. Suleman Choudhary- SSP Kathua.
