BBIA, Orion Ltd sign MoU for skill development

JAMMU, Aug 27: To create sustainable environment conducive to the growth of industry in the State, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Bari Brahmana Industrial Association and Orion Edutech Private Limited in the presence of Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga at a programme, here today.
Orion is a National Skill Development Partner company imparting quality training and placement to unemployed youth in the State.
President BBIA Lalit Mahajan and Tanveer Ahmed Qureshi, Regional Manager signed the MoU on behalf of BBIA and Orion respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Ganga said that such initiative is bound to promote and enhance skill development throughout the State. He added that contribution of local companies towards Skill India Mission and employability options for local youth must be encouraged. He asked officials to make efforts to bridge gap between Industrial requirements and available employee skill set.
Orion officials informed that company will provide skilled manpower to BBIA in the fields of Foods and Beverages, Service-Steward, Front office Associate, Retails Sales Associate, Assistant Beauty Therapist, Banking and Finance and other services.
