JAMMU, Aug 27: After assessing the prevailing situation of State, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party State president and former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia claimed that party would launch its 2nd phase movement of Haq-insaaf yatra on August 28, 2017 for separate Jammu State to garner the people support. He also informed that party will thoroughly discuss issue of 35A with people of the Jammu region.
Talking to the media, NPP State president said that party had launched first phase of Haq-insaaf yatra for separate Jammu statehood demand in Jammu region and organized various rallies from Kathua to Banihal and Poonch to Kishtwar district of Jammu region and people whole heartedly supported the movment. After successful completion of first phase in the month of July, party has decided to launch 2nd phase from August 28, 2017 to regain momentum for separate Jammu statehood demand by carrying out Haq-insaaf yatra to seek right and justice for people of Jammu region.
Mankotia reiterated that re-organization of Jammu and Kashmir, separate Chief Minister for Kashmir and Jammu is the only option to end discrimination with Jammu region. For 2nd phase, Haq-insaaf yatra would be started on Monday August 28, from Jammu district by organizing rallies at Samba and Kathua districts.
He further informed that from August 29 to 31, under Haq-Insaaf yatra, rallies would be organized at Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban district to mobilze people to support separate Jammu statehood demand. From 1st to 4th September, public rallies would be organized in Rajouri, Poonch, Udhampur and Reasi districts to seek support of masses for separate statehood demand.
NPP leader said that during Haq-insaaf yatra, party will seek support and feedback from people on 35A issue. For the election of party president and chairman on September 9, new election delegates would be announced for successful completion of election at party level, Mankotia added.
