JAMMU, Aug 28: Students of JD Institute of Fashion Designing, Jammu showcased their collection in annual Fashion Design Awards at Delhi and won in three categories- best collection, best design and most commercially viable garments.
Annual Fashion Awards is a grand fashion show that takes place at Delhi and is the most awaited event of the year for students of JD Institute. It was the biggest opportunity for the students who had been given rigorous training of designing and manufacturing to showcase their talent via their creations. The creations of the students were showcased by international models on the ramp.
Representatives of various brands like Levis, Pepe, Adidas, Raymonds were present at the show which gave the opportunity to the student designers to gain exposure to the professional world of fashion. It was an opportunity for the student designers to interact and take inspiration from the industry heads and also to make them aware of their designing and manufacturing skills.
Speaking on the achievement of the students, Maansi Gupta, Centre Director, said that JD Institute, Jammu is living up to its commitment of providing students with National level exposure and recognition as was promised to them during admission in the Institute.
