Randhawa tours Channi Rama, assesses problems

JAMMU, Aug 28: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, on the invitation of the residents of Channi Rama, today visited the area and took stock of the problems being faced by the locals.
During his visit to the Channi Rama in Gandhi Nagar Constituency the locals highlighted various problems being faced by them. They rued the poor power scenario in the locality particularly the Nidesh Enclave. They also highlighted the poor condition of the road. Locals also rued the poor sanitation condition in the area.
Ch. Vikram while interacting with them said that the Coalition Government is committed to carry forward the slogan of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-‘Sab Ka Sath, Sab Ka Vikas’. Ch. Vikram on the spot gave instructions to the team of the PWD, led by Executive Engineer Rajan Mengi and Assistant Executive Engineer Rafiq Sheikh, to conduct survey and prepare detailed project report of the road that needs repair so that the work on the same could be started soon.
He also directed the officials of the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) to install dustbins wherever required by the locals so that the sanitation condition of the area is improved. Likewise Randhawa also directed the officials of the PDD to improve the power scenario of the area. He assured the people that he will take up all other problems highlighted by them with the concerned authorities for early redressal.
The locals appreciated the initiative and quick response to their demands by the MLC.
