KATRA, Aug 28: Katra Police today arrested a drug peddler and seized 220 gms of poppy straw from his possession.
A Police team headed by SI Jasvinder Chowdary, I/C PP Banganga, was on patrolling duty at Banganga area when it intercepted the accused. During his personal search, the police team succeeded in recovery of 220 gms of Poppy Straw (Bhuki) from possession of the accused namely Sohan Singh of Purana Daroor, Tehsil Katra.
The accused person has been arrested and recovered Poppy Straw (Bhuki) has been seized.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 156/2017 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Katra.
