RAJOURI, Aug 30:  After two days’ search operation, the dead body of 8th Narian car accident victim, was recovered from the nallah, about 1.5 km downstream this afternoon.
The deceased, Vaqar Ahmed Mughal (B. Tech student), son of Master Mohd Iqbal, resident of Gambhir Muglan, went missing after accident on August 28. The water level was rising in the nallah as it was raining when the accident took place. While seven accident victims’ bodies  including DC’s PA, Mehmood Ahmed,  were later shifted to District Hospital Rajouri from the accident site, this boy’s  body remained untraced.

Today, Army divers from 9 Para Regiment Udhampur,  recovered the body about 1.5 km downstream after diving into the deep water under a big rock in the Nallah. The SDRF and Police men along with villagers from Narian area and relatives of the youth were involved in two day long operation. The body after postmortem, was handed over to the family for last rites this afternoon. With this, the death toll in Narina car accident has reached up to eight.
It may be recalled that  engineering student, Vaqar along with his  relative was returning to home at Gambhir Muglan from Punjab for Eid festival. At Jammu, Vaqar boarded the car of his Jija, Mehmood Ahmed while the other boy, could not be accommodated in the packed car and he boarded a Tata Sumo and reached Rajouri after an hour late. He told the family that Vaqar was also travelling with them in the ill-fated car and then search for him started.
