Drug peddler arrested with cannabis

JAMMU, Aug 30: Pacca Danga police under “Operation Sanjeevani” arrested a drug peddler along with cannabis.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Pacca Danga police station laid a naka at Manda and intercepted a bike.
During checking, police recovered 106 grams of cannabis from the possession of the rider and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Mohammad Nazim, son of Ghulam Mohammad Ganai, a resident of Gool, district Ramban.
During preliminary questioning, it came to fore that the accused used to bring the consignment from his native area for selling among the youth in Jammu and surrounding areas to make them drug addicts. With his arrest, police saved the youth from becoming drug addicts.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Pacca Danga police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Pacca Danga SI Dheeraj Nagpal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Varun Jandial and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
