UDHAMPUR, Aug 30: Prof. Mohi-u-Din Sangmi, Senior Professor from Department of Commerce, University of Kashmir, today delivered an extension lecture on `Product life cycle costing’ to the students of M Com at Udhampur Campus, University of Jammu.
Prof Sangmi explained in detail the concept of product life cycle and the various stages through which it passes. He also discussed various characteristics of product life cycle and classified the product life cycle costs into upstream and downstream costs. He gave different examples to make it clearer to the students.
The KU Professor also shared his views on the behaviour of sales or costs during different stages of product life cycle. He explained the reporting and controlling of life cycle cost by sharing with the students a life cycle cost reporting model of a manufactured consumer product which gave a better understanding of the concept.
Rector Udhampur Campus, Prof Hardeep Chahal and others, including Dr Neetu Kumari, Janvi Khanna, Pardeep Kumar, Mamta Sharma, Deepti Abrol, Shilpa Gupta were present on the occasion.
