JAMMU, Aug 30: Excise Department today conducted raids in Bishnah and RS Pura villages and destroyed about 250 kg lahan and some bottles of illicit liquor.
The raids were conducted at villages Kotli Mian Fateh, Kotli Charkan, Deoli, Makhanpur, Salehar, Dablehar, Tarachak, Kothey Bulandae, Lalyana, Phinder, Khour, Joian, Sheikhupura and Shibuchak in Bishnah and RS Pura exchanges, by Excise team led by ETO South Range, Rohit Sharma along with Inspectors Ritesh Gupta, Sanjeev Gupta and Sub Inspector Balwan Singh under the supervision of Syed Muried Hussain Shah, Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu.
During the course of raids about 250 kg of lahan and five bottles of illicit liquor made from it were recovered by the raiding team from State land and destroyed on the spot.
