SRINAGAR, Aug 31: Vigi-lance Organization has produced challan against the accused Patwari, who was caught red handed while demanding and accepting bribe.
Challan in case FIR No. 43/2014 was produced before the Court of Additional and Sessions Judge Anti-corruption Court Pulwama, against accused public servant namely Abdul Hai Lone of Nowgam Shopian, erstwhile Patwari Dangam Shopian.
The accused Patwari was caught red handed while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 5000 from complainant Farooq Ahamd Wani for mutation (family settlement) in respect of chunk of orchard land situated at Kachidoora Shopian in favour of the later.
The tainted money was recovered from the possession of the accused Patwari in presence of independent witness.
The investigation of the case was concluded as proved against the accused public servant and after the accord of Government sanction for launching prosecution, the challan of the case was produced before the Court of Additional and Sessions Judge Anti-Corruption, Pulwama yesterday for Judicial determination.
