Randhawa inspects ERA works

JAMMU, Aug 31: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch Vikram Randhawa, today inspected the pipe laying project undertaken by the Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA) in Channi Himmat.
Randhawa along with the Chief Engineer ERA and his team visited Sector 2 and 3 of Channi Himmat and inspected the pipe laying project being undertaken by the ERA. During his visit, Randhawa interacted with various local residents and gave a patient hearing to their grievances. The locals raised the issue of repair work which ERA has not completed so far and the residents are facing problems.
While speaking on the occasion, Randhawa said that he and the Speaker, Kavinder Gupta, who is also the local legislator, will leave no stone unturned to ensure that development reaches to the doorsteps of the commoners. He said that they are duty bound to visit every nook and corner to oversee that the projects undertaken by the Government for the welfare of the public are progressing smoothly.
On the complaints of the local residents regarding repair works, Randhawa directed the Chief Engineer, ERA, to complete the same within one month.
The Chief Engineer, ERA, who was accompanying Randhawa along with his team, assured the MLC that all the repair work would be completed before the 30th of September. Randhawa said that any negligence into public welfare schemes will not be tolerated and those found guilty would be sternly punished.
He said that after one month he will visit again to the area to see whether the repair work is completed or not. Randhawa assured the people that he is available round the clock for the welfare of the people of the State, particularly the Gandhi Nagar constituency.
