JAMMU, Sept 2: Pacca Danga police under “Operation Sanjeevani” arrested a Punjab resident along with poppy straw.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Pacca Danga police station laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian, who was trying to hide himself on seeing police cops.
During checking, police recovered 1.285 kilograms of poppy straw and arrested the person, who has been identified as Baldev Singh, a resident of Punjab.
A case under FIR Number 116/17 under Section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at Pacca Danga police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Pacca Danga SI Dheeraj Nagpal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Varun Jandial and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
