UDHAMPUR, Sept 3: All J&K ReT Teachers Forum has demanded modifications in order of D EI Ed to train in-service untrained teachers.
The demand was raised during the monthly meeting of the ‘ Forum, held here today under the chairmanship of state president Vinod Sharma and district president Lekh Raj Parihar
While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma said that All J & K ReT Teachers’ Forum welcomes the Government decision to train all the in-service untrained teachers, but harassment of teachers on the name of training will never be tolerate.
“The Government is going to depute all in-service untrained teachers to go for Diploma in Elementary Education (D El Ed) which is an under graduate course for all the teachers whether they are graduate, post graduate or above besides putting a bar of 50 percent marks at 10+2 level, which is unjustified and Forum will never accept such a ruling of the Government,” he explained.
Mr Sharma demanded that as per past practice, graduates and above untrained teachers should be deputed for B Ed course and undergraduates be deputed for D Ed course and the bar of 50 percent marks at 10+2 level be removed at once. He also demanded that those teachers who are already enrolled in B Ed & D Ed courses and those whose files for permission are lying in various offices, be exempted from such training.
“Otherwise Forum will oppose such unjustified order and we will be forced to adopt agitation path and Government would be responsible for the same,” he warned and appealed the Education Minister and Secretary School Education to personally intervene in this regard and come in the rescue of teachers of J&K by modifying such harassing order.
The meet also demanded transfer policy for regularized ReT teachers by considering them at par with general line teachers, streamlining of SSA salary, issuance of regularization list by DSEJ and DPC of teachers promoted as Masters in 2014 at the earliest.
