Damien Chazelle teams up with Netflix for musical-drama series

LOS ANGELES, Sept 6:  Damien Chazelle is all set to make his foray into television with Netflix’s musical drama series, “The Eddy”.
The 32-year-old director-producer will direct two episodes of the series set in Paris and will also exec-produce the show, reported Variety.
Talking about the venture, Chazelle said, “I’ve always dreamed of shooting in Paris, so I’m doubly excited to be teaming up with Jack, Glen and Alan on this story, and thrilled that we have found a home for it at Netflix.”
Set in contemporary multicultural Paris, the story of “The Eddy” centres around a club, its owner, the house band, and the chaotic city that surrounds them.
The eight-episode series will be filmed in France and will feature dialogue in French, English and Arabic. (PTI)
