JAMMU, Nov 4: A girl allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence.
As per reports, Sunita Devi, daughter of Bawa Ram of Kathua, allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her home yesterday.
Noticing her unconscious, family members rushed her to district hospital, from where she was later shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for specialized treatment. At GMC Hospital, she failed to respond to the treatment and breathed her last today.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at concerned Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
