RAJOURI, Sept 9: A police constable died under mysterious circumstances in District Police Lines, Rajouri here late this evening.
Official sources said that Constable Abdul Hamid, son of Wali Mohammed, resident of Channi Tral in Rajouri district suddenly fell down near the gate of District Police Lines Rajouri at around 9.15 pm tonight. He was immediately rushed to District Hospital Rajouri by the other Policemen, where doctors declared him as brought dead. The body of the cop was sent for postmortem to the mortuary. The doctors suspected heart attack. However, the police has registered a case under section 174 CrPC for the mysterious death of the constable.
