JAMMU, Sept 10: A drug peddler has been arrested along with 13.5 kilograms of poppy straw from Kotli Shah Doula area, falling under the jurisdiction of RS Pura Police Station.
As per police sources, based on specific information, a police team led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal conducted raid in a house at village Kotli Shah Doula.
During the raid, police team arrested a drug peddler along with 13.5 kilograms of poppy straw from his possession which he had kept for sale among youngster and thus spoiling their career.
The arrested person has been identified as Ashok Kumar, son of Sohan Lal, a resident of village Khutian, Kotli Shah Doula, RS Pura.
A case under FIR Number 207/17 under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station RS Pura and further investigation of the case is going on.
