RAJOURI, Sept 10: The sleuths of Excise Range Rajouri arrested two persons along with lahan and illicit liquor.
As per official spokesman, the sleuths of Excise Range Rajouri led by Mohammad Pervaiz, Excise Inspector, Varun Chandan and Sub Inspector Anil Kumar under the supervision of Farooq Chowdhary, Excise and Taxation Officer, Excise Range Rajouri-Poonch conducted series of raids at Kalidab, Chingus, Sumker, Narrian, Hadayat Pura, Zinda Pir, Lam, Bhata and others areas of district Rajouri.
During raids, police arrested two persons along with 200 kilograms lahan and 15 bottles of illicit liquor.
The arrested persons have been identified as Parshotam Singh, son of Jagdish Raj, a resident of Narrian and Ravi Kumar, son of Tag Ram of Hadayat Pura.
A case under Excise Act has been registered against them and investigation started.
The raids were conducted on the directions of Mohammad Javed Khan, Excise Commissioner J&K and Syed Muried Hussain Shah, Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive) Jammu.
