Bovines smuggling bids foiled; 20 cattle rescued, 4 arrested

RAMBAN, Sept 10: Banihal police foiled bovines smuggling bids by rescuing 20 cattle and arresting four persons.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Banihal Police Station laid a naka at T Chowk and intercepted two vehicles.
During checking, police rescued 20 bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested four persons.
The arrested persons have been identified as Mohammad Saleem, son of Bashir Ahmed of Sanaser tehsil Chenani, district Udhampur, Mohammad Latief, son of Bashir Ahmed of Sikanderpur Bishnah Jammu, Gufoor Ahmed, son of Manzoor Ahmed and Parviz Ahmed, son of Mohammad Ismail, both residents of Chanderkote, district Ramban,
Case under FIR Number 147/17 and 148/17 have been registered at Banihal Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Banihal Inspector Aijaz Wani foiled the bovines smuggling bids under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Dheeraj Singh Katoch and SSP Ramban Mohan Lal.
