680 rural children given scholarships by HBET

JAMMU, Sept 10: About 680 rural children received scholarship from Harbans Bhalla Educational Trust during the nine -days camp which concluded today. About 80%  students who received scholarships are girls.
Children came from Government schools of Akalpur, Arnia, Birpur, Bishnah, Kangrail, Marjali, Chadwal, Chakrohi, Dansal, Doomi, Goapar, Gajansoo, Ghou Manhasan, Gurah Brahmana, Gura Slathia, Hira Nagar, Jourian, Jerda, Kana Chak, R.S. Pura, Nagrota, Rattian, Ranjari, Rahian, Samba, Saruinsar, Satrayan etc.
On the last day of camp Arti Kuthiala and Nandan Kuthiala (Jodhamal School, Jammu) who support the Trust graced the occasion . They asked the students to work hard and take full advantage of the support being provided by Trust to them for their bright future. They advised the children to use the financial aid for their education.
They lauded the noble contribution of the Trust by reaching out to children from the neediest families, especially girls in remote areas & helping them to pursue their education.
The Managing Trustee briefed about the scholarship, mentorship and medical support programmes run by  the Trust for all round support of the children.
HBET was established in 1997 with the mission to change lives of needy children through literacy support programs. The Trust supports children from weakest sections of society with renewed passion to remove ignorance and darkness from their lives by providing the light of education.
Families of girl children from classes 1st to 3rd are welcome to apply to the Trust for scholarships. The Trust only accepts students of financially weak sections studying in Government Schools.
