Sham inaugurates development works in border areas

JAMMU, Sept 12: Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Sham Choudhary today inaugurated Rs 28 lakh development works in border areas.
The works include the construction of lane & drain at old Dewan Garh and Sai Kalan (Tangali Camp) executed by the Rural Development Department under Border Area Development Programme, Cluster Model Village, Sai Khurd.
Speaking on the occasion, Sham Chaudhary said that it is the priority of Government to provide better road connectivity and drainage system in every locality. He said works pertaining to improvement of power and water supply, construction of lanes and drains and other civic works are high on Government’s agenda.
The Minister exhorted upon the officials of various departments to work in synergy for ensuring all basic amenities to the people. He directed for proper utilization of resources for socio-economic development of the region.
The Minister directed the concerned officials for speedy completion of ongoing works. He further asked them to submit a comprehensive report of ongoing and future projects proposed for the area to his office.
