MUMBAI, Nov 5: Infrastructure major L&T Construction has bagged a major order worth Rs 1252 crore from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
The order will be executed as a joint venture with Shanghai UrbanConstruction Group (SUCG).
It will design and construct a tunnel between Shankar Vihar and
Hauz Khas as well as underground stations at Vasant Vihar, Munirka,
R.K.Puram, IIT and Hauz Khas, a statement issued by the company said.
L&T Construction’s share in the project is Rs 852 crore. Another
order includes Rs 644 crore contract secured by the Buildings & Factories IC for construction of a permanent campus facility for IIT, Hyderabad.
The scope of works include construction of engineering blocks, faculty and staff housing, student hostels, dining halls including
ancillary and other associated works, the statement added. (UNI)
