REASI, Sept 14: Senior Congress leader and former Minister Jugal Kishore Sharma today toured block Bhamag of tehsil and district Reasi where he addressed a public meeting at Panchayat Tote.
The Congress leader also interacted with the locals, who apprised him of their several grievances and problems. The villagers drew attention towards lack of development of the area and urged Jugal Kishore Sharma to particularly take up the issues concerning non-availability of teaching staff in Government Higher Secondary School, Tote and other problems being faced by the public.
While addressing the public meeting, Jugal Kishore Sharma assured villagers that he would take up all the public related issues with the concerned higher authorities for redressal of the same.
Sharma further said that if no appropriate action is taken, he would also protest along with the people of the area against the present Government.
Jugal Kishore said that the people of Tote were themselves responsible for the non-development of the area as they voted heavily in favour of that candidate, who was not paying any attention to the far flung areas of Reasi Assembly constituency.
The Congress leader criticized present BJP-PDP Government for not taking up the development works, started earlier by the Congress when it was holding the dispensation in the State.
Prominent among those, who were present in the public meeting, included former Youth Congress president Reasi Assembly segment Amit Sharma, Ashok Padha, Bishan Magotra, Rajesh Pandotra, Sarpanch Panchayat Tote Bhim Singh, Panches of all wards and others.
