NEW DELHI, Sept 15: Cardamom prices were trading up by 0.78 per cent to Rs 1,252 per kg in futures market today as speculators built up fresh positions after uptick in demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in October traded higher by Rs 9.70, or 0.78 per cent up, to Rs 1,252 per kg in a business turnover of 9 lots.
Traders said, fresh positions created by participants, supported by surge in demand in the physical market against restricted supplies from producing regions, mainly influenced cardamom prices at futures trade. (PTI)
