Barley slides on reduced offtake

NEW DELHI, Sept 16:  In restricted activity, barley prices drifted lower by Rs 20 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today due to reduced offtake by consuming industries.
However, other grains moved in a narrow range in limited deals and pegged at last levels.
Traders said besides reduced offtake by consuming industries, ample stocks position, mainly led to decline in barley prices.
In the national capital, barley fell by Rs 20 to Rs 20 to Rs 1,430-1,440 per quintal.
