RAJOURI, Sept 19 : Terming Mehbooba Mufti led PDP-BJP Coalition Government as a non -performing liability, Youth Congress today said that this regime has nothing to highlight as its achievements and except hollow promises, it fails to do any thing on the ground.
Addressing one day convention of Youth Congress at Rajouri town here today, Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) president, Pranav Shagotra pointed towards complete failure of the present Govt to provide basic amenities to the people. He regretted that people of the State are confronting to get basic amenities like drinking water, ration, health facilities and power but the ministers are only enjoying luxuries. He said that `Coalition’ stands exposed for its non-performance and there are no takers of its hollow slogans now.
“Both PDP and BJP are equally responsible for the miseries of the people because both the parties have brazenly bartered peoples’ interests for enjoying power”, Shagotra said and regretted the backwardness in the border district of Rajouri is a clear indication that elected representatives of this belt have miserable failed to come up to the expectations of the people.
Criticizing PDP-BJP regime for its failure to check corruption, he said that present Government has crossed all limits of corruption. The Govt here is brazenly taking steps to weaken the anti-graft bodies. One and only noticeable achievement of this regime is legalization of corruption.
Speaking on the occasion, Uma Shankar Panday and Shishpal Singh I/C J&K Youth Congress said that Coalition Govt has reneged on almost all the promises made with the people and the Government run by them seems to be a rudderless arrangement, lacking direction and commitment.
Lambasting State Govt for its failure to solve day today problems of the common masses, they said that miseries of the people have been increased manifold after formation of this regime.
Former minister Shabir Khan and Iqbal Malik, senior Congress leader said that PDP-BJP Govt has totally failed to address the problems of the people. “Since they joined hands, the miseries of the people of J&K have been increased manifold. While the BJP cheated people of Jammu, the people of Kashmir were cheated by the PDP,” they added.
Satish Sharma- PYC vice president, Chetan Wanchoo, Vijay Hiteshi, Anoop Gupta, Ricky Dalotra, Hoshiar Singh, Zaheer Abass, Sahil Sharma, Manik Raina, Amit Siyal, Umer Mirza, Hassan Mirza and others also spoke on the occasion.
