KISHTWAR, Sept 19: Police today recovered large quantity of banned herbs and arrested two persons.
Police spokesman said that a police party from Kishtwar Police Station led by SHO Inspector Sameer Jillani under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Tussif Ahmed recovered large quantity of banned forest herbs from the Jawalapur area.
Two persons involved in the crime were also arrested. They have been identified as Javed Iqbal, son of Abdul Aziz of Bonjwah and Abdul Rashid, son of Mir Mohd of Gundoh.
A case has been registered against them under Section 379 RPC and 6 Forest Act.
