BGSB University students meet Guv, others in Mumbai

JAMMU, Sept 25: A group of 15 Engineering students and two professors from Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri (J&K) interacted with  Governor of Maharashtra  C. Vidyasagar Rao at Raj Bhawan today.
The students are in Mumbai on a week-long capacity building tour, being conducted under `Operation Sadbhavana’ by the Army.
While interacting with the students, the Governor urged the children to spread the message of importance of education when they return home. He also emphasized that children should strive to become responsible and good citizens and contribute meaningfully towards the progress of the nation.
Earlier, giving a brief on the tour, officer-in-charge of the tour, informed the  Governor that this ‘Communication and Information Technology’ theme based tour that aimed at exposing these engineering students to the advancements made by the country in these fields.
In the evening, the students also interacted with Lt Gen Vishwambhar Singh,  General Officer Commanding Maharashtra Goa & Gujarat Area. During the tour, they will be taken to various technology giants like Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City, L&T, Reliance Jio & Star TV. They will also visit the premier engineering institute like IIT Mumbai and various tourist attractions of Mumbai like Gateway of India, Haji Ali Dargah, Film City, CST, Marine Drive and a day out at Essel World is also planned from them.
