JAMMU, Sept 25: World Pharmacy Day was celebrated by Jammu Kashmir Government Pharmacists’ Association (JKGPA) at Shashi Bala Memorial park in the office complex of Directorate of Health Services (DHS) Jammu.

Dr Gurjeet Singh, Director, Health Services Jammu was the chief guest of the function in which large number of pharmacists from all blocks of Jammu district and other associated unions affiliated with JKMEF participated.
While addressing the participants, Sushil Sudan, State president, JKGPA, highlighted the role of pharmacists in patient care. He also highlighted how Pharmacists work as bridge between doctors and patients. He urged to the pharmacist to take pledge on this auspicious day to serve suffering humanity with outmost dedication.
Choudhary Jarnail Singh and Kamal Swahany stressed the Government to implement Pharmacy Act in J&K, as many States of India have already implemented this Act.
