JAMMU, Sept 25: Hindi Fortnight concluded in the office of the Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, J&K here with Hindi Day celebration.
In the function the officials who did maximum of their official work in official language Hindi and those who performed well in the various competitions organized during Hindi Pakhwada were felicitated with various awards.
The function was presided over by Satish Kumar Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax. Padam Shri Dr (Prof) Ved Kumaro Ghai, Dr (Prof) Chanchal Sharma, Dr (Prof) Raj Kumar Sharma HoD (Hindi) Central University were the special invitees in the function.
Prof Ved Kumari Ghai in her compendious address shared her experience with the officials of the department with a message that it’s not bad to learn any language but there should be one language, one script of a nation and Hindi deserves that honor in India.
Prof Chanchal Sharma said that this is the beauty of Hindi language and its grammar that it is surviving in this most challenging era. The language has come out as literary as well as professional language for many. For this reason the language is being taught in very prestigious universities of the world.
In his presidential address, SK Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax emphasized the need to work in Hindi because it unites us and emotions and spirit of the communication in India can be better conveyed in Hindi language only.
In this program, a play reading ‘Hindi Parcham’ written and directed by Rajneesh Gupta, ITO was staged by Prof Rita Jitendra and artists from her group who gave a captivating performance.
Earlier, the welcome address was presented by Dr Ruveda Salam, ACIT, while Indersen Chawla, ITO Jammu and Rajni Sharma Senior Hindi Translator compered the program.
In the end, Anita Thusu, ITO recited a poem in Hindi and also presented vote of thanks.
