RAJOURI, Sept 26:  Chairman SOS International-an organization of Displaced Persons from PoK, Rajiv Chuni today claimed that with the increasing strength of the DPs, the hostile forces will be rooted out shortly.
Addressing a rally of DPs here today, Chuni said, “ Presence of PoK DPs in large number in today’s rally is the evidence that the movement launched by SOS International has acquired a great  momentum and now, it has become stronger with each passing day and has transformed into storm. Those who remained hostile towards legitimate demands of PoK DPs will be rooted out with this emerging strength.”
Chuni said that recently Home Minister, Rajnath Singh and a Congress delegation led by former Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh visited the State.  SOS International leadership met with both leaders and apprised them of their demands. “On September 10, we met former PM Manmohan Singh and apprised him of  our demands. Dr Singh assured us that they would stress upon the Government to implement the package as was approved by NC-Congress Cabinet in 2014,” Chuni added.
“We also met Rajnath Singh and told him that we don’t want only cash relief but other components which was approved by State Cabinet and recommended by Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) include Rs 30 lakh cash compensation, reservation to the wards of PoK DPs, employment package for unemployed youths in Government jobs and many more PoK DPs in toto. Rajnath Singh listened to us and gave assurance of implementing the whole package as per JPC recommendations”, he added.
