KISHTWAR, Sept 26: In a major crackdown, Chatroo police arrested 8 absconders, who were evading their arrest since long.
As per police sources, a police team from Chatroo Police Station conducted raids in different areas of Kishtwar and Anantnag and apprehended 8 absconders, who were at large since long.
The arrested persons have been identified as Mohammad Sadiq, son of Haji, Liaqat Ali and Nazakat Ali, both sons of Haji, Mohammad Azim, son of Nizam Din, all residents of village Puchhpura Anantnag and Liyaqat Ali, Mohammad Rafiq and Mohammad Younis, sons of Abdul Hamid, all residents of Kachhwan Anantnag.
They were wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 10/1999 under Sections 452, 342, 147, 148, 341 and 323 RPC with Police Station Warwan. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against them by Court.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Chatroo made the arrest under the supervision of DySP DAR Kishtwar Manoj Kumar and SSP Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary.
