Two killed in road accidents

JAMMU, Sept 26: Two persons including an 8-year-old boy were killed today in separate road accidents in city outskirts.
According to a police official, a male child identified as Shiv Dayal (8) son of Dharvinder, resident of Bihar (at present Trikuta Nagar), sustained serious injuries late this morning when a speedy water tanker hit him near his residence.
The blood-ridden boy was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he succumbed to his injuries at about 6.15 pm. The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for postmortem while a case in this connection was registered at concerned police station.
Meanwhile, a rashly driven unknown vehicle hit and seriously injured a pedestrian identified as Amritpal Singh (25) son of Raghuveer Singh, resident of Digiana, this evening near MBS College in Digiana area. He was shifted to GMCH Jammu, where he passed away at about 7.20 pm.
The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for postmortem while Satwari police had registered a case in this connection and started investigations.
