JAMMU, Sept 26: Government today ordered transfer of Secretary and Deputy General Manager of J&K Housing Board, who are facing departmental enquiry in Rs 27 crore scam.
According to the order issued by Hirdesh Kumar Singh, Commissioner/ Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department, Rampal Sharma, Secretary J&K Housing Board has been directed to report to Housing and Urban Development Department for further posting.
Similarly, Aftab Rashid Pandit, DGM Unit-II has been transferred and posted as Technical Officer to Commissioner/ Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department.
It is pertinent to mention here that these two officers along with others had executed Rs 27 crore worth works in blatant violation of rules on the instructions of the then Minister for Housing Raman Bhalla. A departmental enquiry is going on against these officers.
