JAMMU, Nov 7: Vigilance Organization has registered case against Mohinder Singh, the then Storekeeper BDO Block Barnoti, who was allegedly found involved in the making of false and duplicate entries in the stock issuance record and misappropriating 4364 bags cement and 12.97 quintal steel amounting to Rs 9,21,735 during the period 2002-2007.
The verification revealed that on the basis of departmental assessment made by then ACD Kathua a recovery of Rs 3,27,918 was made in the month of March 2006 from the accused storekeeper on detection of shortage in the store.
On the omissions, the Vigilance booked Mohinder Singh and investigation of the case was entrusted to Inspector Sajjad Ahmed Mir.
