It was pleaded by the Jammu Chamber that the smooth operation of business in all sector has hit a road block. Therefore, it is requested that the GST-1,2&3 return should be on quarterly basis and the payment of GST on monthly basis. It was also demanded that there should be no penalty in any form for discrepancies whatsoever in filling of GST returns till the closure of current financial year.
The JCCI stressed that the long time being taken in correction of PAN Card has resulted in non- migration from VAT to GST which needs to be looked into urgently.
It was pointed out that the dream of digital India and e-payment can only be achieved if the charges for the use of credit and debit cards be abolished.
JCCI president recalled that last year during the demonetization process there were no charges applicable on usage of debit cards. Also the traders and the industrialists are not in a position to absorb these charges out of their low profit margin and ultimately the business people shall have no choice but to refuse the usage of such cards.
The other office bearers present in the meeting included Rajesh Gupta- senior vice president, Rajeev Gupta- junior vice president, Manish Gupta- secretary general, Gaurav Gupta – secretary and Ashu Gupta- treasurer.
