JAMMU, Oct 4: The National Advisory Committee of the UGC – Human Resource Development Centre, JU, the highest decision making body of the autonomous UGC institution, met here today under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof RD Sharma.
The committee, during the course of the meeting, deliberated in detail about the new courses that are to be organized by the HRDC. The Vice Chancellor also approved the proposal for organizing Self Financing Courses by HRDC as a special case after due approval of the competent authority.
The Committee also recommended the proposal for air travel for teachers of Ladakh region to UGC for final concurrence. The committee also approved the new format for receiving feedback from participating teachers in order to improve the organization of UGC Teachers and officers’ courses.
Earlier, Director HRDC, Prof JP Singh Jooral gave a detailed account of the working and programmes of HRDC. Ranjeet Kalra, teaching faculty at HRDC informed the house about the new initiatives introduced by HRDC.
The meeting among others was attended by Prof R C Thakran -UGC Nominee, Prof.R P Singh, Director HRDC, GNDU, Prof Sushil Panday, Dharmendra Magotra, Jt Registrar Finance.
