JWAM holds protest over worst condition of roads, traffic problem

JAMMU, Oct 4: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held a protest against ERA, JMC and PWD R&B Departments for worst condition of roads in Jammu West constituency and increasing traffic on Janipur-High Court Road.
Shouting slogans against ERA, JMC and  PWD (R&B), the JWAM activists led by their president, Sunil Dimple, in the form of a rally moved towards Tali Morh and after passing through Sarwal and Laxmi Nagar, held a strong protest at New Plot.
Hundreds of traders joined the protest and alleged that Jammu West constituency is the most dirtiest and under developed constituency, where roads are in worst condition, as ERA sewerage works have damaged all the roads of the West Constituency while sewerage main holes are overflowing and dirty water is entering into the houses and shops of the traders in the constituency.
Addressing the protestors, Sunil Dimple demanded CBI enquiry into the works done by ERA, PWD (R&B) and JMC in the constituency and funds spent on those works, as no development is visible on the ground in the constituency.
Stating that the large scale bungling has been found in the construction work of Artifical Lake till now, Dimple demanded CBI inquiry into the money spent on the artificial lake project. He demanded to arrest of contractors, engineers and other concerned officials involved in this scam.
He said all the roads in West constituency are waiting for the black topping for last two years but Government is sleeping on the issue. He further accused the Government for its failure to solve the traffic problem in Jammu city demanded construction of  flyovers from Amphalla to Jewel Chowk and Amphalla to Upper Paloura (Janipur).
Dimple urged Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to grant district status to Jammu West constituency or bifurcate it into two constituencies, as it is the largest constituency due to which it is lacking in development works.
