JAMMU, Nov 11: Relief holders of Jagti township reiterated that all relief holders of amps and non camp localities will join the agitation from November 15 in case the Government failed to announce the hike in cash relief by that date.
In a statement issued here today, Ajay Bhat a representative of the relief holders of Jagti said that various corner meetings were held in camp and non camp localities by the relief holders to discuss the future strategy in case no decision was taken by the Government regarding enhancement of cash relief by November 15 as they are leading a miserable life.
The statement said that the relief holders having no source of income are totally dependent on cash doles from the Government and any further delay in this regard will add to their miseries further.
The meeting also reiterated the demand regarding enhancement of ration to Government employees from 20 kg rice to 35 kg of rice per month with other benefits also.
